Every moment spent training with your teammates is something to be cherished.
Why let complacency and other personal distractions step on our desire to focus
and train hard?
Have we forgotten our goals? Have we forgotten our reasons to remain as a
member of a competitive team sport? Did we choose to undergo months after
months of gruelling training just to achieve nothing worthy?
POL-ITE is about six months away and probably lesser. We don't actually have
a lot of time left because there is so much more that we can improve on and
effective progression obviously doesn't take place overnight.
As we all already know, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If we don't
start to actively help one another now, or if just one person refuses to be helped,
the whole team's development will only stay stagnant. At the end of the day, a
stagnant team will only get trashed badly by others with a new and stronger
desire to win. So is that what we want? To lose without performing at the best
of our ability because we keep on denying the potential hidden deep within us?
A brand new year is approaching and it is a chance for us to start afresh with a
resolution to fight even harder for what we want. Let's stop taking any training
sessions for granted and commit ourselves to train hard, so that regret will always
be the last thing in our minds at the end of every race.
And don't ever forget that one is never alone in a real team.
