Hello Freshies!
if you have realized, its been 1 month plus ever since you girls joined us!
by this time, you girls should be adapted to our trainings and discipline.
take initiative in everything!
girls, whatever it takes, don't give up.
the greatest enemy is always you, yourself.
when you think of giving up, look at your teammates around you.
and think of the reason why you stayed on.
if you know you didn't put in your 100% for this training,
tell yourself you're gonna do it for the next training!
its time to start believing in your teammates.
have faith in this team that we'll train hard together and bring glory back.
always go for trainings with a positive mindset.
set an objective before every training.
either we improve as one, or we fall as a team.
remember, the team is only as strong as the weakest one.
girls, prove us wrong (:

If you could have the arms of Hercules;
legs as swift as the wind;
if you could leap shoulder high above the rim;
have the kick of a dolphin;
the reflexes of a cat;
if you could have all this,
you would have the body, you would have the tools.
But you will not have greatness,
until you understand that the strongest muscle is the heart.- Andrea Boceli

I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion - Mia Hamm
As everyone know, Dragonboating is a team sport. We work as a team, not as individuals.
We paddle as ONE, our heart beat as ONE, WE ARE ONE!
we all know how this works, single entry, single catch will make the boat glide better.
lets work hard, to get our SYNERGY peoples!
LASTLY, I LOVE YOU ALL! *muacks*

Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them -- a desire, a dream, a vision.
Muhammad Ali
what do we really desire? do we dream of it? and do we really vision it to happen?
we will prove it to others that we are worthy competitors, and that we are not EASY to beat!
we shall aim, for a podium finish!

i saw this on one of SAFSA's notes in FB, happened to chance upon this :
At the end of the day, we must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment. Before u make yr choice, think of the other 19guys in the boat, think of those not selected...but of course, for us its the other 9 rowers. theres more to the note, but after reading it i really felt very inspired to really go all out.
POL-ITE is so close to us, do we really want to regret? or do we want to bring a cookie home? the cookie is not the most important, but it is still important. what is the most important thing is that we show other teams that TP is a worthy competitor, remember our objective during AGM?
we want them to know that yes we are a COMPETITOR not just a team making up the numbers in a race, im sure many of you know how that feel when you heard that. the feeling sucks right?
so yes even though trainings are gonna be tougher, even if we're gonna do many race sets.
just tell yourself what do you really want. just suffer for these few weeks, at the end of the day, at least you can look back and say, yes i really did train hard and there isnt any regret.
so guys, instead of fearing next saturday's training, look forward to it cos thats when we will be stronger!
(:

Do not give in to failure, whatever it takes,
keep on trying.
all you need is the courage to believe in yourself that you can.
even if its just a step or even just a stroke,
tell yourself that,
you're going make it worthwhile.

Hello freshies,
Training resumes this
Saturday, 5th June. Report at Sports complex at
12.15 SHARP.
Attire : Black Tee/Singlet. Remember to bring your SHOES, slippers and WATERBOTTLE.
Btw, our training schedule doesnt follow the school calendar or Singapore's calendar. Even if there is a 2 weeks break, doesnt mean we would have the 2 weeks break from training =/
it means its a good time to train harder and be stronger! :) Step out of your comfort zone and you might be surprised at how much stronger you actually think you are.
Lets push ourselves harder!! What are you hungry for !!!
Manda.
